Chapter 9 introduces feminist thought as a way to help understand the environment. This approach focuses on how a patriarchal society contributes to social and environmental problems and how feminist perspectives suggest tangible solutions including the “diverse economies” approach, countering gender bias in science research, and feminist-inspired technologies.
