Transferable skills are those which you will use in the future, in jobs and life in general. You learn many transferable skills in college courses and in related college activities. Along with imparting knowledge and understanding values, developing your transferable skills is one of the primary goals of an OWU education.
It’s good to consider the nature of transferable skills throughout your college career and in specific classes. A collection of such skills is below: click on the document to open a PDF. Another checklist, called Transferable Skills: What Do You Do Well? was developed by the University of Texas at Austin. Neither is comprehensive. But you get the idea.
