What did you do after graduation?

I went to graduate school for my MFA in Creative Writing at Chatham University.

What are you up to now?

I’m working as an Event Coordinator for a non-profit and I freelance write and edit.

How has being an English major helped you in your postgraduate career(s), or just in life in general?

I have approached critical reading in a different way, and it has opened me up to new editing gigs.

Any particularly important classes, professors, experiences or other aspects of your undergraduate life in Sturges you’d like to call out?

Dr. Caplan was a huge influence on my poetry, as was professor Olmstead.

Any advice for new or prospective English majors/minors?

Don’t be afraid to follow your passions. Take all the courses that interest you. You may be surprised at what you discover.
