I love Utopian novels or anything from the Victorian era.
What do you like most about being an English major?
The English department has given me so many opportunities to grow as a student academically and in my personal life as well. I have also become so much more confident in my writing through the courses here.
What has been your most exciting or transformative experience as a major thus far?
My Sophomore year I took Professor Butcherâs âWriting Essaysâ course where we did writing workshops and everyone had to read our personal essays. I have never been that comfortable with anyone but a teacher reading my work, but I realized how important peer editing is for growing as a writer and as a student too.
