The deadline to submit spring initiative funding requests from WCSA is Friday, November 8. WCSA can decide to fund or not fund initiative requests submitted by students, student organizations, and university departments.
There are two types of initiative requests WCSA will consider to fund; Campus Experience Initiatives (CEI) and Personal Development Initiatives (PDI).
CEIs serve the entire student body, improve the on-campus student experience, and provide an accessible service or an opportunity for experiences for all students on campus. Examples include counseling services subsidies; hydration stations; Funtrium support, etc.
PDIs financially support individuals in missions of personal betterment or advancement and provide, at times, substantial amounts of money for a single individual or small group. Examples include: interfaith mission trips; wilderness treks; Leadershape attendance, etc.
To submit a request to fund a spring semester initiative you must send a letter detailing the entire project and the associated total costs, not just what is being requested from WCSA, with an explanation of the circumstances leading to the pursuit of WCSA initiative funding. This letter must be sent electronically via email to wcsabc@owu.edu by Friday, November 8, at 11:59 p.m.
