Hi students,
Federico and I (Autumn Ford) are running for Vice President and President of the student body. Together we offer a diverse, experienced perspective that allows us to understand the work which lies ahead. We have many specific goals in our agenda, but they fall into these specific categories:
– Implementing DEI in Action
– Focus on improving Student Life.
– Improving Mental/Emotional health resources
– Academic Success
– WCSA Reform
The following are our personal statements on why we believe we are a good fit for WCSA:
Autumn Ford: Personally, it has been an honor to serve as the Vice President of the student body for the past year. In my years at OWU, I have faced a multitude of challenges that pushed me to grow as a person and see where the university needs improvement. I think it is imperative to have someone who is mature, honest, and accountable enough to handle the student body’s needs. I believe I embody these traits and would love to continue serving the student body.
Federico: At a personal level, I am an internationally born student that understands the barriers faced by marginalized communities. I know the personal hardships that students have to deal with in the various aspects of life at Ohio Wesleyan, and my mission is to make the Ohio Wesleyan community and administration accountable for the wellbeing of its students and staff.
