TONIGHT! Smith Civil War Lecture – This Year’s Topic: A Local Guy!

TONIGHT! Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 (7 pm — via Zoom)

You are invited to join us for the annual Richard W. Smith Lecture in Civil War History, scheduled for this evening.
This year, for the first time in our history, held via Zoom!

Our guest speaker, Mark Grimsley, Ph.D., Associate Professor at The Ohio State University, will be presenting “General William S. Rosecrans and the Pitfalls of Command.” An equestrian statue of Rosecrans, a native of Delaware County, stands in Sunbury, Ohio, a testament to his success as a businessman, soldier, and very nearly one of the Civil War’s finest army commanders.
