Today, April 23, 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Gray Chapel, the OWU Symphonic Wind Ensemble presents an exciting evening of music featuring multiple conductors (Alex Brough, Don Nathan, Rich Edwards and Mary Kate McNally).
Our concert opens with a guest performance by the Worthington Kilbourne Wind Ensemble including a combined ensemble collaboration of nearly 100 musicians on two gems of band repertoire: Holst’s “First Suite in E-flat” and Shostakovich’s “Folk Dances.” After intermission, the OWU Symphonic Wind Ensemble exclusively presents contemporary works including music by OWU’s former faculty composers, Jennifer Jolley and Clint Needham.
