TODAY @ 4:15 p.m. – Elissa Washuta Reading

The English Department is pleased to welcome Elissa Washuta TODAY from 4:15-5:15 p.m. in the Milligan Room of Slocum Hall. Washuta is a member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe and a nonfiction writer whose recent essay collection, White Magic, was selected as a finalist for the PEN/Open Book Award, longlisted for the PEN/Jean Stein Award, and named among the best books of 2021 by TIME, the New York Public Library, and NPR. Washuta’s honors include a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, a Creative Capital award, and the Artist Trust Arts Innovator Award.

Join Washuta for a reading followed by a Q&A and book signing. This event is free and open to the public.
