OWU students, faculty, staff, and local music teachers launched the first OWU Summer Music Camp this past July on our campus. Over 70 middle school students participated in two bands, a mixed chorus, and a string orchestra, culminating in a grand finale performance for all combined campers featuring a world premiere arrangement written by OWU composition major, Noah Green.
Ten OWU students received Theory to Practice Grants to support their music teaching leadership development and community service arts objectives as part of this project. Hear reflections from the OWU people who participated in our music camp and learn more about what we have in store for 2020!
The presentation will take place in Jemison Auditorium in Sanborn Hall today, September 17, at 12:10 p.m.
