Did you know we have an Upcycling Center right here on campus? The Upcycling Center at OWU is a creative reuse space that accepts donations of items to be reused in creating one-of-a-kind works of art.
Is your junk drawer getting full? Donate your old office supplies to the Upcycling Center! Need paint/brushes for a project? Take some! We accept various items, such as 3-ring binders and folders, paper, empty containers, old gadgets, fabric, tapes and glue, and foam poster boards. This is a great way to help the environment; we kept 6,000 lbs. out of landfills in 2025 alone! The Upcycling Center is located in Haycock Hall. Our current hours are:
- Tuesdays, 8:30 -11 a.m.
- Fridays, 8:30 – 11 a.m.
- Sundays, 2-5 p.m.
For more information, visit owu.edu/upcycling, email upcycling@owu.edu, or call 740-368-3609. Thanks for helping to make OWU a more sustainable campus! Note: The Upcycling Center is a great resource for students, faculty, and staff. Our inventory is free for taking. Please help spread the word!
