Tech Tip of the Week – Check Your Account for Unusual Activity

Regularly review your account for unfamiliar or suspicious activity. The ‘Activity on this account’ report provides information about the last activity on your mail account and any concurrent activity. It will show the access type (browser, mobile, etc.) the location, the date and time. Google also provides a list of devices recently used to access your account: goo.gl/o2FlHm.

Google provides a “Details” link at the bottom right of your Inbox (in a web browser). The ‘Activity on this account’ report provides information about the last activity on your mail account and any concurrent activity. It will show the access type (browser, mobile, POP3, etc.,) the location, and the date and time.

If you see any devices your don’t recognize or any access from a location where you haven’t been, your account has likely been compromised.
