Don’t forget – submit your Teaching, Learning, and Innovation (TLI) Grant proposal by Oct. 22 at 11:59 p.m.
- We especially want to invite new applicants to consider how this grant could further your professional development goals. Here are some ideas to consider if you have never had a TLI grant before:
- Scholarship support: travel for on-site research, purchase a dataset, provide stipends for participants in a study, pay fees for writing an open-access book or article.
- Teaching support: attend or present at a teaching conference, take an online training in a particular pedagogy (e.g., team-based learning), pay an honorarium to meet with an expert in a type of pedagogy you want to improve in (e.g., using AI to deepen & reveal student thinking, adopting alternative grading, expanding Universal Design for Learning), explore a location for a travel learning course.
- Interdisciplinary support: cross-disciplinary scholarship or teaching projects.
- Guidelines: TLI Guidelines.
- Deadline: Oct. 22, by 11:59 p.m.
- Submission: TLI Proposal Submission Form. Questions on this form:
- Title and brief description
- Amount requested (the total from your proposal)
- If this proposal is part of a sabbatical or scholarly leave
- Attachments:
- A 2-page version of your vita that is most relevant to this proposal
- Your proposal
If you have questions as you develop your proposal, please feel free to reach out to me at bjbird@owu.edu. I would be very happy to be a thought partner for your ideas!
