Students Seeking Professors for Research Participation!

Hello, Professors!

We are students in Behavioral Endocrinology with Dr. Reichard and are conducting a research project where we hope you would be interested in helping. We’re testing to see if there is a significant difference in cortisol levels (stress-related hormones) between tenured and non-tenured (tenure-track and non-tenure track) professors at OWU. Of course that means we need professors willing to participate!

It’s not an invasive study, we would only require you to come to a meeting so we can collect a saliva sample. All information will be kept completely confidential and as anonymous as possible, and you would be compensated with cookies and drinks afterwards!

We’re not looking for professors from any specific department, so all are welcome to participate if you are interested! Please let us know if you would like to be involved, and we will give you more information about how we’re keeping everything confidential and what you would need to do.

We’re planning on collecting samples during the noon hour on Oct 28, 29, and 30. If you’re interested in participating, please email us back with your tenure status and which day of those options you would be available.

If you cannot be there on any of those days, we’re happy to meet with you individually on a separate day as long as it’s within a similar time frame (about 11-1). You can reach us at either hrkeatin@owu.edu , saholmes@owu.edu , or tmhonake@owu.edu .

Please note: Participants will be required to read and sign an informed consent document before participating in this study. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dr. Reichard (dgreicha@owu.edu; x2890).

Thank you for your time and consideration, and we hope to hear from you!
