The SOAN Department held a virtual celebration yesterday for our graduating seniors, award winners, and Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society inductees. We are proud to announce the 2019-2020 award winners:
- Janet King Award to the student whose previous work significantly links research or other academic work to public service – Dylan Hays.
- Charlotte Wolf Academic Achievement Award to the student with the greatest potential for a career in academic sociology – Ethan Baskes.
- Emily Fitton Paper Award to the student who completes the outstanding research paper in a sociology/anthropology course – Ethan Baskes.
- Faculty Award to the outstanding senior major for overall GPA, ability to deal with complex issues, and service to the department – Hanna Cordes.
