Join us on Wed., Sept. 5 in the Benes Rooms from 4:10 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit. Following from SIAC’s (Student Inclusion Advocacy Committee) “Why is my Curriculum so White?” campaign and talkback, and in efforts to diversify the curriculum and seek to build coalitions to continue this work, the faculty and student organizers of OWU’s first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit invite students, faculty and staff interested in all forms of diversity to participate.
The summit will begin with a forum for students to articulate their goals for our campus. It will then transition to a dialogue and shared meal, and continue with breakout sessions for strategizing ways of facilitating collective action. Please join us in working to build a more inclusive campus!
