Sept. 3 – Get OWUt the Vote with the League of Women Voters!

The League of Women Voters of Ohio (LWVO) will visit Ohio Wesleyan from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, to kick off its fall registration roadshow. League representatives, including Executive Director Jen Miller, will be on hand to answer questions and ensure students are ready for the Nov. 5 national election. They’ll be stationed in a 19-foot Airstream trailer parked on S. Sandusky St. near the JAYwalk and the R.W. Corns Building.

The roadshow will visit more than 15 regional colleges with a goal “to register thousands of students, ignite enthusiasm about the democratic process, and provide answers to questions on issues important to them. Each campus visit will feature music, snacks, prizes, and a range of nonpartisan voting information.”

LWVO volunteers will assist with voter registration, educate students on the significance of civic engagement, explain recent changes to voter ID laws, highlight important election dates, and offer information on becoming a poll worker.
