Expand your universe! You’re invited to join Perkins Observatory for two free online events this week.
At 8 p.m. Sept. 10, Barbara Ryden, Ph.D., of The Ohio State University’s Department of Astronomy will discuss “Einstein, Friedmann, and the Expanding Universe Smackdown.” Her free presentation is part of the observatory’s New Vistas in Astronomy adult lecture series.
At 8 p.m. Sept. 11, Don Stevens, observatory director, will host a free guest night consisting of virtual telescope observing or a planetarium talk.
Both events will be limited to the first 100 participants who join. The Zoom links for the events will be posted under the “Upcoming Events” section of the Perkins Observatory webpage at www.owu.edu/perkins.
