RAD-Women’s Self-Defense Couse Being Offered

Rape Aggression Defense Systems is one of the best women’s self-defense courses available. RAD is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive self-defense course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance while progressing to the basics of hands-on defense training.  RAD operates on the premise that a spontaneous violent attack will stimulate a natural desire to resist on the part of the victim. We educate women by enhancing their options of physical defense as being not only prudent, but also a necessity if natural resistance is to be effective.  The RAD Systems of Self-Defense empowers women to make their own decisions regarding self-preservation, self-defense options, and defense against abduction.

This course is listed as ACTV 0172 & is 0.25 credit. Classes will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:10 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Thomson Ground Floor common area. Questions can be directed to Officers Sean Duffy or Misty McDonald through OWU email accounts.
