Hi! My name is Demi Eberhard, and I am a junior. I am looking for a few people to help me with daily living activities this semester, as I am in a wheelchair. These positions pay up to $22.90/hour, and since I need coverage 24/7, a shift can be any time in the day for as few or as many hours as you’d like. We’d work together to find weekly times that work for both of us.
Some requirements include being able to manage time well, having the strength to lift me in and out of my chair (I weigh about 110 lbs), and being comfortable assisting me with personal care. The kinds of tasks that I will need help with are eating meals, performing morning/nighttime routines (brushing teeth, washing my face, etc.), showering, and help with personal care throughout the day.
Right now, I am urgently hiring one or two aides who could work overnight. Lastly, because the money used to pay my aides comes from the state of Ohio, and is not technically associated with the University, I unfortunately am not allowed to hire international students who don’t have work visas.
