OWU Joins Open Education Network Through Ohio Five

OWU Libraries is pleased to announce our recent membership in the Open Education Network (OEN) through the auspices of the CODEX Program of the Five Colleges of Ohio (OH5).

A cornerstone of OEN’s work is the Open Textbook Library, which has grown to more than 1,400 openly licensed titles in all subject areas. These open textbooks are free to use, download, distribute, and adapt.

The OEN includes more than 1,800 public and private higher education institutions, consortia, and statewide systems. All share the goal of making higher ed more affordable, equitable, and accessible through open educational resources and open pedagogy.

In addition, the OEN offers an Open Educational Practices certificate program for faculty interested in developing inclusive student-centered pedagogies.

To learn more about the OEN or to discuss open educational resources (OERs) or open pedagogies, contact Megan Mitchell (meganm@ohio5.org) or Stacy Chaney-Blankenship (sbchaney@owu.edu).
