The Matthews family invites the Ohio Wesleyan community to the dedication of a bench in honor of John Matthews ’38 (Chi Phi) and Mary Lou Lemichuk Matthews ’39 (Delta Gamma) on Friday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. on the Stuy-Hayes Walkway. The Matthews were OWU sweethearts who lived in Delaware for several decades before moving to Arizona. John established his own businesses and served on the founding board of Delaware County Bank and The Little Brown Jug. Mary Lou had a keen interest in community health and served on the hospital board during a time of much expansion and she helped found the Women’s City Club of Delaware. The extended Matthews family will be in attendance. All are welcome, especially members of Chi Phi and Delta Gamma!
