The OWU ALERT system has been updated to use 740-737-8880 for all emergency voice calls made to your cell phone of record with the University. Please add this number to your phone contacts as OWU ALERT EMERGENCY.
For our newest Bishops, Ohio Wesleyan uses the OWU ALERT system to inform the campus of emergency situations that require an immediate response. Once an emergency is determined—including severe weather warnings—the University will send an OWU ALERT email to your owu.edu email account and OWU ALERT voice/text messages to your cell phone.
Because of the vital nature of these communications, students and employees are auto-enrolled for this outreach. If you download the CampusShield app to your cell phone, you also will receive push notifications of OWU ALERT emergency messages. [Download the app (Android) (iOS).]
Students, if you need to update your cell phone information, please contact the Registrar’s Office. Employees, visit your ADP portal. More information is available on the OWU website.
