Oct. 17 – TEDxTalk with Rossy Evelin Lima

Join us for “Undocumented Dream,” a TEDxTalk presented by Dreamer poet Rossy Evelin Lima from noon to 1 p.m. in Merrick Hall, Room 301. Lima’s talk will be about her experience as an immigrant writer in the United States.

Once a dreamer student, Lima holds a Ph.D. in linguistics and is an international award-winning poet. She has been awarded the Gabriela Mistral Award by the National Hispanic Honor Society, the Premio Internazionale di Poesia Altino in Italy and the International Latino Book Award, among others. She is president and founder of the Latin American Foundation for the Arts, founder of the International Latin American Poetry Festival (FeIPoL) and founder of Jade Publishing.

This event is part of the Second OWU Hispanic & Latin Heritage Poetry Festival and is sponsored by the Wesleyan Council on Students Affairs, the Student Inclusion Advocacy Committee, your 97 VIVA LAtinX students, the Modern Foreign Languages department, the Global Studies Institute and the Latin American Studies Program.
