Do you have a big idea? Do you have a solution to a problem that you believe could change the world? Calling all OWU Students to apply for Pitch OWU, sponsored by The Woltemade Center! Compete against peers in various disciplines to pitch your idea to a panel of judges; the top three teams or individuals will receive funding to foster the growth of your ventures.
Students can apply individually or as a team. There is a maximum of four team members per team. Student teams are given five minutes to pitch, followed by three minutes of questions from the judges. Presentations may include PowerPoint, visual aids, props, or other materials; however, presentations must stand alone without a written business plan. All majors are encouraged to apply. Grand Prize is $1,000.
- Optional Pitch OWU Competition Workshop: Sept. 12, 2023, for students interested in learning how to pitch their ideas and participate in the competition.
- Application Deadline: September 29, 2023.
- Competition Date: October 25, 2023, 7-9 p.m. in Room 301 of Merrick Hall.
