The OWU Staff Council works to facilitate and improve communication access across campus, especially with relationships among staff, the President, and senior officers. Our goal is to recognize the outstanding contributions from staff and to promote a positive and rewarding workplace.
Elected by their peers, Staff Council members represent colleagues in their areas and meet regularly as a body to discuss issues, provide input, and share ideas pertinent to non-faculty employees, as well as create programming and professional development opportunities for staff. Signature events include the annual Staff Recognition Luncheon with the STAR and SPARK awards.
Staff Council is currently seeking nominations for the following positions for a 2-year term beginning May 1, 2025.
- Academic Affairs – 1 representative
- University Advancement – 1 representative
- Finance and Administration – 1 representative
