The Environment and Sustainability Department is introducing a series of “ugly mugs” to lower the amount of single-use cups at Smith Dining Hall. Ugly mugs are surplus, unwanted mugs from Goodwill, which does not have the space to hold them. Instead of throwing them out, they donate them to us. In the dining hall, students may use the mugs and then return them to the dishwashing station, OR they may keep the mugs for their own use. Over time, the extra mugs will be continually replenished. This program begins March 27, so keep an eye out for the mugs!
