The English Department will welcome Marianne Chan next Wednesday, March 5 from 4:15-5:15 p.m. in the Milligan Room of Slocum Hall.
Marianne is the author of All Heathens and Leaving Biddle City. She is the winner of a Great Lakes Colleges Association New Writers Award, the Ohioana Book Award, and an Association for Asian American Studies Book Award for Outstanding Achievement. Her poems appear in Kenyon Review, Crazyhorse, American Literary Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. She earned her MFA in poetry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and teaches at Old Dominion University. Join Chan for a reading followed by a Q&A and booking signing. This event is free and open to the public.
