March 30 @ 4:10 p.m. – Challenges of Literary Translation in the 21st Century

Translating literature in the 21st century has become a great challenge considering machine translation tools along with other factors that affect the translation process and technique. Professor Abeer Abdelaal will give an informational session on March 30th @ 4:10pm in the Bayley Room of the Beeghly Library on behalf of the World Languages and Cultures Department to discuss this topic. In this talk, we propose to explore the numerous challenges that confront the translator when carrying out literary translation. Please join us to hear this informative talk.
