March 29 @ 4:10 PM – Charles Bernstein Honorary Degree and Reading

Groundbreaking poet, editor, critic, and activist Charles Bernstein will join us in the Bayley Room on the second floor of Beeghly Library for a reading and to receive an honorary degree, Ohio Wesleyan’s highest honor. Bernstein is the award-winning author of more than twenty collections of poetry and recipient of Yale University’s 2019 Bollingen Prize for American Poetry, the Roy Harvey Pearce/Archive for New Poetry Prize, and fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts. In 2006, Bernstein was elected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.

Join Bernstein for a reading followed by a Q&A and book signing on Tuesday, March 29. Books will be available for sale and signing. This event is free and open to the public.
