Interested in creating a healthier environment in Delaware? Join Tree House and the ENVS Department to help clean litter from the Delaware Run, a local stream that runs along OWU’s campus. This segment of the stream has had years of litter build-up and needs volunteers to collect trash from both the banks and the water.
The clean-up will be from 1-3 p.m. this Saturday, with volunteers meeting at the small parking lot/turn around behind Phillips Hall.
No equipment or training is required, but do dress for the weather. Any volunteers who wish to wear waders and collect litter from the water should bring a change of clothes and wear thick clothing regardless of temperature.
If you are interested in joining the Tree House, ENVS Department, and the City of Delaware in cleaning Delaware Run, please send your interest to (akcharlton@owu.edu) by Thursday, March 27.
