Please join us via zoom as Dr. Ellen Arnold shares what she’s learned about OWU student, James Weber, and his experiences on campus as an undergraduate in 1868-1871. Her talk is based upon a series of 50 letters that he wrote home to his parents during his time at OWU. By looking at these letters we get glimpses of the daily life at OWU and see some of the challenges young people faced finding their way after the Civil War.
The lecture will begin with a special memorial tribute to the late Ezra Vogel, OWU ’50, who created this lecture in honor of his parents.
