Didn’t buy a ticket for the Melvin Van Peebles Symposium? You’re still invited to attend these events as we remember OWU alum Van Peebles ’53 and celebrate Black arts and culture:

  • 6:15-7:30 p.m. Friday – Fork in Nigeria food truck. You’re invited to purchase authentic Nigerian cuisine from this acclaimed Columbus-based restaurant. On the JAYwalk.
  • 7-8:40 p.m. FridayAmerican Fiction movie screening featuring Erika Alexander. In the HWCC Benes Rooms.
  • 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday – Graffiti artist Lance Johnson featuring dancer Candice Flows. Outdoors at The Back Porch sculpture created by alum Andrew Wilson ’13 (adjacent to Elliott Hall.)
