The Biology Board is collaborating with MCI (Male Contraceptive Initiative) and hosting a screening of the short film It’s Different for Girls by Billie JD Porter. This 40-minute film explores gender bias and systemic issues surrounding reproductive health. Billie emphasizes the need for shared responsibility in preventing pregnancies and addresses scientists working on innovative male contraceptives. The film places male contraceptive development in the context of post-Roe vs. Wade America.
