The purpose of MAPS is to support pre-medical students from backgrounds that have been historically excluded in medicine throughout their journey to medical school by providing information, mentorship, and other extracurricular opportunities to prepare them for the medical school application process. The ultimate goal of MAPS is to support underrepresented future medical students and increase the number and diversity of clinically excellent, culturally competent, and socially conscious physicians.
