Bishop Elevate is excited to announce a new micro-internship opportunity for Spring 2024!
The Upcycling Center at OWU is a new project, being established via a partnership between the Ohio Wesleyan Department of Fine Arts and the nonprofit Sustainable Delaware Ohio. It aims to promote creative reuse in a maker space. It is currently gathering donated materials, keeping them out of a landfill, and putting them to use in various projects. It is also preparing to host students of Cliff Hurst’s Entrepreneurial Mindset class in early February, a small religious retreat in early March, and have its own vendor’s table at Main Street Delaware’s Maker Markets later in the year. The Upcycling Center Intern will help sort and process donated materials, coordinate planning and preparation for events, contribute to creative projects, and complete other administrative tasks, working with David Soliday, as well as Fine Arts staff and faculty.
