OWU Department of Performing Arts is excited to present “JOURNEYS OF LOVE: A Festival of New Musical Theatre, Written By Professional Composers, Lyricists, and Book Writers.” (Please note: The show will open April 8; the April 1 and April 2 performances have been canceled.)
This special showcase of new works, all themed around moving toward (or away from) the things we love, features songs and some scenes from many of the most talented theatre-makers working in the industry right now. A number of the works are world premieres — many of the songs have never been staged for an audience beyond a workshop reading — and all are Ohio premieres.
Content Note: Some of these musical numbers, being contemporary works, feature adult themes and situations, and one number has one instance of profanity. This show may not be suitable for youth under the age of 13, so parental discretion is advised. Directed by Brian Granger. Music Direction by Jennifer Whitehead.
April 8-9 at 7:30 p.m.; and April 10 at 2 p.m.
