IS is now hiring an OWU Help Desk Assistant for a nearly full-time summer position — 30 hours per week during summer. This Assistant provides telephone, email, chat, and walk-up customer service and helps to keep online support resources up-to-date. Duties include:
- Answer Help Desk phone calls and online chat.
- Respond to email questions and requests as tickets.
- Assist with connecting devices to our campus networks.
- Collaborate with IS staff, as needed.
- Edit and revise websites as needed.
We’re looking for someone with these skills:
- Computing knowledge & troubleshooting (the more the better).
- Customer service (more important than technical know-how).
- Good communication, both written and oral.
- Initiative and ability to work independently.
