Seeking Volunteer: Some service men and women find that their sense of structure and purpose is gone upon their return home. Through the rescue dog placement program, Veteran Companion Animal Service (VCAS) returns this structure and purpose with the unconditional love of a rescue dog. VCAS is looking for a volunteer communications/marketing assistant. This volunteer will help maintain the VCAS main social media presence by creating and posting content, monitoring messages, and working with staff/volunteers to develop ideas for new and current activity content. This volunteer will also research and write basic news releases and profile stories as assigned. The volunteer time commitment is generally 5-8 hours weekly, with additional time necessary during program implementations or charity activities. All majors are welcome, but candidates must demonstrate strong writing and creative skills.
