Health Tip of the Week! – Exercise Motivation

We all know that it is key to work out in college. But sometimes, it’s almost impossible for us to convince ourselves to exercise, whether due to time constraints, lack of energy or the urge to stay in bed and watch Netflix. Here are some tips to sneak workouts into your college life!

1) Get a gym buddy! Working out with a friend makes it way more fun, plus you have someone keeping you accountable to your goals.
2) Intimidated by Simpson Querrey or not feeling the walk across campus? Try the Welch Fitness center! It is open 24 hours a day and there is plenty of equipment.
3) Try a fitness class! You don’t have to know how to workout on your own. Try an on- or off-campus fitness class. OWU even offers course credit for some classes.
4) Bike around campus! Burn those calories and get to class on time.
5) Try some quick workouts in your dorm, like yoga, push-ups, squats, and lunges.
