Have Any Mugs You Don’t Want? Donate Them!

Do you have any food-quality mugs that you have no use for? If so, please donate them. The Department of Environment and Sustainability started an “Ugly Mug” program in Smith Dining Hall on March 27. Ugly mugs are surplus, unwanted mugs from thrift stores and individuals who do not want to keep them. Instead of throwing them out, they donate them to us. In the dining hall, students may use the mugs and then return them to the dishwashing station, OR keep the mugs for their own use, replacing the single-use cup for a reusable ceramic one. Over time, the extra mugs will be continually replenished. If you have an “ugly mug” of any size, shape, or design that you don’t want anymore, please contact us. You can use the attached email or follow and message our Instagram page, uglymugs_OWU.
