In celebration of Earth Day, the Environment & Sustainability Program and the Student Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby at Ohio Wesleyan University, with financial support from Ohio Wesleyan’s student government, invite you to attend a series of two free virtual workshops focused on educating attendees about the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015.
Participants will earn a certificate upon completion of the two sessions. The 17 SDG goals focus on incorporating environmental preservation, equity, health, and justice into all aspects of our global society. The workshops introduce the SDGs and train attendees to advocate for them in their own communities. Participants will see presentations by UN speakers and engage in discussion of SDG-related local challenges.
The workshops will take place on Saturday, April 24, 3 PM to 6 PM, and Saturday, May 1, 3 PM to 6 PM. Community members in central Ohio are welcome to participate, and we have invited other undergraduate students from regional universities to join us. Even if you cannot attend the second workshop, come to the first workshop to learn about the SDGs. To register and learn more, visit this link: https://www.sdgslaunch.com/owu.
We hope to see you on April 24 and May 1!
