Carlton Thompson, 88, of Delaware County, Ohio, passed away April 10 at home. Carlton served as an electrician/maintenance technician at Ohio Wesleyan for more than a decade beginning in 1993. When he wasn’t working, family members share that he enjoyed “woodworking, crafting, collecting, working around his home, and stories with family and friends.” His full obituary is available through this link.
Wilma Sue Holland, 83, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away Jan. 30. Wilma worked at OWU from 1967 to 2000 in roles including as a secretary for Academic Affairs and Development and in data entry for Admission. “Family meant everything to Wilma,” loved ones share, adding that over the years, “life and family became about grandkids and great-grandkids, watching them all grow and achieve as she watched her own kids.” Wilma’s full obituary is available through this link.
Betty Lou Ostermeyer, 81, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away Dec. 16 at her home. Betty worked at OWU as a housekeeper from 1972 to 1999. According to her family, “Betty loved Elvis! She enjoyed listening to his music and collecting memorabilia. Betty also enjoyed playing games, dining out, and making hard tack candy at Christmas time.” Betty’s full obituary is available through this link.
Patricia Logan, 88, of Lewis Center, Ohio, passed away Nov. 17 in Columbus. Patricia worked at OWU as a transcript clerk in the Registrar’s Office from 1985 to 1995. “Patricia attended many masses at St. Mary Catholic Church in Delaware (and) was known for her hobby of crocheting for family, friends, and some Christmas bazaars,” loved ones share. “She deeply loved her family and friends and held all of them close to her heart.” Patricia’s full obituary is available through this link.
