The English Department will welcome Koritha Mitchell ’96 on Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 4:15-5:15 p.m. in the Benes Rooms of the Hamilton-Williams Campus Center as our Katherine Kearney Carpenter Lecturer.
Dr. Koritha Mitchell, award-winning author, feminist scholar, and cultural critic will present “What if Americans Had Listened to Black Women of the 1800s?”
A 1996 OWU graduate and professor of English at The Ohio State University, Mitchell is the author of Living with Lynching and From Slave Cabins to the White House: Homemade Citizenship in African American Culture.
