Feb. 29 @ 9 a.m. – The Environmental & Natural Resource Symposium

Join us during the Spring OWU Connection Conference for the 2024 Environmental & Natural Resource Symposium, “Improving Water Quality in Ohio: Efficient Policies and Local Programs.” Communities throughout Ohio face a variety of challenges associated with water quality. Panelists Lisa Roberts, City of Delaware Watershed and Sustainability Coordinator, and Brent Sohngen, Professor of Environmental & Resource Economics at The Ohio State University, will address these challenges from both a statewide planning perspective as well as the lens of the communities themselves.

The event will conclude with a moderated discussion between the panelists and with questions from the audience. Presented by The Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship, this annual symposium aims to engage OWU students, faculty, staff, and Central Ohio residents with the ways in which the environment and climate relate to economics. Prof. Will Georgic, Assistant Professor of Economics, will moderate this year’s symposium. Join us Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2024, at 9 a.m. in Merrick Hall Room 301. Light refreshments will be served. No RSVP required. Please visit bit.ly/4b5X51B for more information.
