We are looking for students with leadership potential, and an interest in positively impacting the lives of OWU students. It is our hope to create a community that is positive, inclusive, welcoming, respectful, educational, and supportive for the incoming class.
We are hiring Camp Leaders for the Camp Oh-Wooo outdoor extended orientation program in August. Camp Oh-Wooo has three separate camp adventures, Challenge Camp, Service Camp, and Wilderness Camp. This is a volunteer position (can count as service hours) from August 14th to August 22nd.This time frame includes Camp Oh-Wooo fall training (Aug. 14th – 16th, dates subject to change), Camp Oh-Wooo (August 17th-20th) and the two Welcome Week days after camp on August 21st and 22nd.
Camp Leaders will lead/facilitate small group conversations at Camp, as well as assist with running projects, games, activities, etc. CLs will also be assigned tasks on new student move-in day, as well as the Monday and Tuesday of welcome week before classes begin on Wednesday.
Camp Leaders are required to attend one (1) spring semester training session (date to be determined)
