For those who want to learn more about Mock Convention but couldn’t make Wednesday’s informational session, we will be holding two additional meetings:
Tues., Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. or noon. Both meetings will be held in Elliott Hall, 304. If you plan on attending the noon meeting, make sure to RSVP to pllauche@owu.edu so we can order enough pizza.
First held in 1884, the Ohio Wesleyan Mock Convention is an OWU tradition that takes place every four years during the presidential primary season. This is a campus-wide event, involving OWU students, faculty and staff as well as members of the Delaware community. The convention is a simulation of the national party’s convention, which takes place later in the summer. We spend two days debating the issues in a party platform and nominating the party’s presidential and vice presidential candidates.
From event planning to banner-making to stage construction, Mock Convention relies on the teamwork and talent of OWU students. Come find out how you might get involved! Planning begins this spring.
REMEMBER – Mock Convention happens only once during your 4 years at OWU, so find out how you can get involved!
P.S. SENIORS – there will be an alumni delegation!
