The Strand Theatre is partnering with the Unity Community Center to present a screening of “Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot” and a panel discussion on social justice/community involvement as part of the theatre’s Delaware Community Conversations: Meaningful Movies.

“Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot” tells the true story of Donna and Rev. WC Martin and their East Texas church, where 22 families adopted 77 children from the local foster system, igniting a movement for vulnerable children everywhere.
The panelists are Senior Pastor Kevin Burrows of Vision Worship Center in Delaware, Senior Pastor Sam Rosa of Delaware Christian Church, Lynn Stacy of Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, and the Rev. Dr. Kary Williams Jr. of Zion African Methodist Church in Delaware. The panel discussion will be co-moderated by Ohio Wesleyan Chaplain Chad Johns and Director of Multicultural Student Affairs Jason Timpson.
