The US Environmental Protection Agency has announced its eighth annual Campus RainWorks Challenge, a sustainability master plan design competition that is open to colleges and universities in the United States and its territories. Through this competition the EPA seeks to engage with undergraduate students to foster a dialogue about responsible stormwater management and showcase environmental, economic, and social benefits of green infrastructure practices. Janelle Valdinger, a senior Geography and Environmental Science major, has registered a team of at least six (to be determined) students into this year’s RainWorks Challenge. There are still four spots remaining on the team.
She is looking for students across all majors. The deadline to indicate interest in becoming part of the team is set for Friday, November 8, by midnight. All interested students need to send an email to Janelle (jlvaldin@owu.edu) indicating their name, major and minor. Once the deadline has passed, Janelle will send out an email for an informational meeting to confirm team members.
