As part of the rapid deployment of Blackboard Learn SaaS (Software as a Service), our own OWU Blackboard system will receive an update on Thursday, December 5th.
– Course-level group sets: To further support effective teaching and learning, they’re enhancing the functionality of the Groups workspace for the Ultra Course View. With this release, instructors can create course-level group sets and align them to discussions, tests, and assignments.
– Grade pill color: In the Ultra Course View, the color of the grade pill visually communicates grades/marks to students and instructors. While effective in many instances, we’ve received feedback from some Ultra early adopters that grade color can have an adverse effect on student well-being. Grade pill colors will be disabled system-wide in early January. This will also affect how they appear on the Grades screen in the base navigation.
– Text update for Multiple Answer questions: In previous versions, the prompt for Multiple Choice questions differed from that of Multiple Answer questions. This difference offered an unintentional clue to students when a question had more than one correct answer. Based on feedback from the community, we’ve made the prompt consistent across Multiple Choice and Multiple Answer question types.
The release will also include maintenance items. You can read all the details and learn more here: https://help.blackboard.com/Learn/Administrator/SaaS/Release_Notes
